Drop everything and book your stay at Villa Kyma in Crete. Without a doubt, Crete is an incredibly special place and so is Villa Kyma. And if a picture is worth a thousand words, trust me when I say that a picture of Villa Kyma simply can't do it justice: It's even better in person. Built into the side of a cliff that affords the most spectacular views and a pervasive feeling of quiet and isolation, Villa Kyma is situated near Chania, one of the most beautiful spots in Crete. The villa's architecture takes full advantage of its views, whether inside or out. Our family found ourselves torn between exploring the area and relaxing at the villa. Modern and airy, with plenty of room, Villa Kyma makes it easy to have privacy while still affording its guests the opportunity to come together in the kitchen, the downstairs' reception and, of course, the deck, where we practically lived all week. It's a luxury rental in every way and the personalised care of the villa owner's staff, available at all turns to arrange outings, dinners, private chef, etc., was exceptional. Waking up every morning to the uncompromising views of the sea was its own treat, and there's definitely no better place to see the sun rise with a cup of coffee than the lounge platform on the trail down to the beach. The gorgeous stone shower in our en suite also afforded direct views of the sea--another unexpected pleasure. And the children couldn't get enough of the infinity pool, whose reflections and positioning often blurred the line between sky and ocean. Each night on the deck, glass of wine in hand, we were captivated by the sunsets, to the point where we found we were planning our evenings around them. Thanks to our wonderful host and his vision for such a special villa, and for sharing it with the rest of us.

Thank you for the wonderful place and stay. It is difficult to express what is happening here. Villa Kyma is amazing. The views are, wherever we look, very beautiful. It’s incredible how we can have private moments in combination with meeting inside at the large table or outside. The elements of the stones, wood, glass and steel are so beautiful. It is simply the best. The Crete people are very kind and helpful, the food is delicious. Thank you again, we all would like to come again, whenever that my be. Our grandchild Tobias -4 years old- told me he wanted to stay forever with us in this house!

This was our first trip to Crete, a special family holiday to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Our party numbered nine with ages from 4 months to 64 years. We searched for a very special place and villa Kyma appeared to fit the bill. Our expectations were exceedingly high and Kyma did not disappoint. Its location, views and furnishings leave nothing to be desired. We booked Stefanos, the chef, to prepare a greek meal. We were so impressed that we asked him to come back and prepare a fish of his choosing. Absolutely magnificent! During our week we explored several of the local beaches and visited the charming town of Chania. We very much hope to return to villa Kyma.

The house is so wonderful and the service, especially from Elain, is very nice. We booked a very nice trip to the Samaria gorge. We will be back, we love this place. Thank you again.

We had the most wonderful relaxing holiday at villa Kyma. What a beautiful place to unwind from the stress and strains of our busy lives and soak up the wonderful weather, views and surroundings. We have mainly stayed in the local area. We love the local tavern right on the sea in Tersanas. It is open all day and serves local food and wine. We really can’t fault anything. Elaine was so helpful, the cleaners and the pool attendant kept the place immaculate. Hope to be back next year. Have as much fun as we had.

A huge thank you for sharing your amazingly beautiful villa and to Elain for the warm and helpful welcome and sorting out the boat trip. We have loved every minute of our stay here. The villa is beautifully designed and the location is stunning. Like other guests, we have struggled to pull ourselves away from the poolside, but on a couple of occasions went to Chania and enjoyed wonderful meals there. The takeaway at sunset taverna is great. We booked Manoli’s boat for a sunset cruise. It was a beautiful classic boat and we spent most of the time swimming off the back. We have fallen in love with this part of Crete, its gracious, warm and friendly people, wonderful food and stunning coastline.

We have just had the most amazing holiday at Villa Kyma. When we pulled onto the drive it took our breath away. The villa is so modern with its own access to the sea. The sea views were amazing and the sunsets were WOW. The infinity pool was beautiful, although a little cold at the beginning of the week. All of the bedrooms were stunning with fantastic sea views. There is a small beach with a bar and taverna within a 5 minute drive, we walked there a few times and it took about 15 minutes. The area is stunning and we travelled to different places. Chania was superb and Elafonisi beach was like being in the Caribbean, well worth the drive. On our last day we were sitting having breakfast outside when 3 dolphins came close by, playing with each other, jumping out of the water, it was a perfect end to a perfect holiday.

Thank you for daring to dream and building such a wonderful house in this amazing location. It has enabled us to have a wonderful week together as a family in Crete. We enjoyed a couple of trips into Chania, a delightful little town. Most of the time we just sat by the sea and enjoyed the view. The kids enjoyed wandering down the pass and snorkeling off the rocks. One night we had a local chef come and cook local cretan food and we ate on the outside deck as the sun set on the horizon, fantastic. Thank you for sharing your special place.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at your villa. We were 3 families with 5 children. We have enjoyed a private chef three nights, eaten in Chania one night (at Zapos in the old harbor). We have had a few days with wind and these days were good to go to the small beach just near here. We have all enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank you!

Our stay in the villa Kyma was a dream. The villa is very well designed with a lot of space (we were 8 people) and amazing views from each and every corner of the house. Each room has its own special design. Very nice infinity pool. Breathtaking sunsets.... The location on the Akrotiri Peninsula is fantastic with multiple possibilties of nice restaurants for everybody´s taste (greek taverne, fish restaurant, hamburgers....) easily reachable by car and very welcoming people. A perfect stay to start exploring the region around Chania. We loved it and were very sad to leave this place! I definitively will be back very soon

Luxury Location in a very pleasent and calm Environment. Top class Real Estate, High end furnitures with outragious view over the chania peninsula. Short Connection to Airport and possibilty to reach lots of small and charming creeks in the neighbourhood. A Place where only gods and goddesses are on hollidays.

We really enjoyed every single moment there. The place was by itself a paradise... We love the location, the villa's design, the great and modern furniture. The villa is full of beautiful spaces that make you feel alone even when you have 7 more people around. Of course the seafront and the amazing sunset produce in everyone a breaking breath. We also found the guest book very helpful, it has a lot of suggestions about activities, restaurants and beaches near Chania and Crete in general.

The greek chairs on the upper terrace have an inscription saying "Enjoy these moments" and this is definitely what it is all about. The view is awesome, the sunsets are breathtaking and the villa itself is a jewel. We have been renting villas in Crete for 3 years now, but this is definitely the absolute top.

A perfect 10 for villa Kyma and Nicky's service. A million $ view, don't think we ever stayed in a nicer house at a better location. It's something George Clooney would stay in.
